(1996-1999)

NES Nation was started in 1996 by Alex T. Moore. It was considered the "home" site of the NES Community. It featured chat, membership, Trivialand Adventures, and many other great sections. It was handed over to Dogshell around '97, and then to Spofforth around '98. Unfortunately in June '98 the Nation was hacked. People assumed it would be returning but it never happened. In 1999, steveX unsucessfully tried to resurrect the Nation, once in early 99 and again in August 1999. After that, the Nation became officially dead. However, the old Nation Chatroom has been resurrected. Some old files (circa 1997) of NES Nation can be found here.
